The anticipation for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s forthcoming release is enormous. B4 AVA, a 7-song forerunner to his next album, was published near the end of 2021 as a taster of what’s to come. Originally named A Boogie Vs. Artist, he altered the title to Me Vs. Myself, which is shaping up to be one of his strongest albums to date based on the singles.

“Ballin,” the rapper’s latest track off the project, was released this week. The production, overseen by Don Cannon, Lee Major, and Sean Momberger, is delicate but frosty, giving an ideal background for A Boogie’s mellifluous voice. A Boogie properly pops his sh*t with maximum confidence on the new song, boasting of his affluence, from luxury clothes to the diamonds on his wrist, while comparing himself to James Harden, Bronny Jr., and other important NBA stars.

A Boogie’s new single came only days after he revealed that his next album will be delayed until December. As Drake and 21 Savage extended the release date of Her Loss to November 4th, A Boogie said that he would not compete in sales with the Toronto rapper.

“Sorry but album dropping in December now, Drake was dropping same day and I’m not with that,” he wrote on Instagram.

Notable Lyrics
I put the, “X” in, “Flex”
I’m shootin’ with my left like Harden
So much water on my wrist, it make my arm numb
All this money, bitch, I’m ballin’ like LeBron son
