Logic worked with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes for his new music video, “Highlife.”

The new music video for Logic’s song “Highlife” features Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. The piece comes a little over a year after Logic appeared in Smith’s film Clerks III.

“It was a dream come true working with one of my favorite directors of all time!” Logic commented on the video on YouTube. “Such a fun and feel-good song. Stoney bob returns y’all!!!”

“Highlife” will be included on Logic’s next album College Park, which is set to be released on February 24, 2023. It comes after the release of the album’s first song, “Wake Up.” It will include appearances from RZA, Redman, Joey Bada$$, and others. College Park will be Logic’s seventh studio album, but his first independent release. The title of the album alludes to a location where Logic spent a year sleeping on a friend’s sofa.

Following the release of his previous studio album, Vinyl Days, last year, Logic ended his deal with Def Jam. Logan Paul clarified on his Impaulsive podcast at the time that he had no ill will toward the imprint.

“I’m really happy to know that I represented and low-key was the face of the label — one of the illest Hip Hop labels of all time — and that I sold millions and millions of records and gave them billions and billions of streams, and that it was a good partnership,” he said. “And I couldn’t be happier to get the fuck out.”
