SONGWEB: Can you tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind your latest project?
PIANO PRINCE: My latest project, “NEBULA,” was inspired by my fascination with outer space and the idea of exploring beyond our planet. After releasing my first album, “Memory Lane,” about nine months ago, I wanted to take my music to a new level by imagining what it would be like to travel through the cosmos.
SONGWEB: How do you approach the creative process when creating new works of art?
PIANO PRINCE: When I create new music, I like to be very hands-on. I don’t want to leave any part of the process to chance. I compose, record, and mix everything myself because I believe it’s important to have full control over my music. This way, I can make sure it sounds exactly how I want it to.
SONGWEB: Can you share with us a particularly memorable moment during the making of this project?
PIANO PRINCE: One memorable moment while making “NEBULA” was when I was working on “A Grain Of Space Dust.” I had a beautiful touching walk along the river where my atelier is. The sun was almost down and the colors were otherworldly. It felt like I just arrived on another planet. I felt immense gratitude to be alive and to experience all the human feelings and connections. It made me reflect on our human experiences in the context of something much bigger. After I went home and recorded what I felt in one go. It just flowed out of me. The whole recording without any changes is now on the album.
SONGWEB: What message or emotion do you hope to convey through your art?
PIANO PRINCE: I want to take people on a journey of exploration. “NEBULA” tells a story about a character Piano Prince who goes on an adventure through space. I want my music to make people feel a sense of wonder, introspection, and longing, and to remind them that we all seek connection and meaning in life.
SONGWEB: Can you describe how you incorporate your personal experiences into your work?
PIANO PRINCE: Normally everything I create comes from some experiences either in my past or in my imagination or dreams. Each composition is like a window into my emotions and thoughts. While “NEBULA” explores space, it also serves as a reflection of my journey as an artist and person.
SONGWEB: How does your latest project differ from previous works you’ve created?
PIANO PRINCE: “NEBULA” is different from my previous work because it explores space and cosmic themes. My first album, “Memory Lane,” focused more on personal and down-to-earth topics and memories. This change allowed me to explore different kinds of inner emotions.
SONGWEB: Lastly, what are your plans for your artistic journey and where do you hope to take your work in the future?
PIANO PRINCE: I always want to keep making music that connects with people emotionally. I plan to explore different inner worlds to keep things fresh and exciting. At the moment I’m working on my next single. I’m super excited about it. It will hopefully drop soon.
I also hope to grow my Patreon community to offer exclusive content and support my future projects, so I can keep making music that matters.
